Regarding Terror: The RAF Exhibition The exhibition is proving to be one of the most frequented in the history of KW, and demand is very high both for the guided tours and the related publications. Concrete attendance figures will be published in late March, and final statistics furnished in the framework of a press release when the exhibition closes. The abundant media response to the show - both in Germany and abroad - has been many-voiced, critical, constructive and largely positive. Since December 11, 2004 - the opening date of the auction which secured the financial means to enable the exhibition to go ahead - some 400 discussions and reviews of the project have appeared in electronic and print mediums in Germany and abroad, including Boston Globe, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Liberation, Le Monde, New York Times, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Rundschau, Spiegel, Stern, and Die Zeit. In addition to television coverage by some 20 domestic and international broadcasters, for example ARD, arte, CNN, BBC World, Swiss TV, ZDF, there have been reports by around 50 radio stations in Germany and abroad. Several Berlin-based mediums have covered the show a number of times from varying perspectives. KW introduced a visitor service offering guided tours of the exhibition, and in response to demand has now decided to increase their frequency. Visitors may choose between a one-hour general tour, or an variable-duration tour tailored to specific thematic interests. Prices are available on request. We recommend that bookings be made as early as possible. Regular tours at 7pm on Thursday and 5pm on Saturday have now been added to the scheduled tours at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. We are also preparing a sidebar program consisting of readings, debates and film screenings. Details and dates will be communicated shortly. Due to the unusual level of public interest the exhibition will remain open during the Easter and Whitsun public holidays. We would much appreciate an announcement of the accompanying events, and will be pleased to answer any queries you may have!___________________________________________ Further information: Markus Müller I Maike Cruse t: ++49 30 24 34 59 41 / 42 press@kw-berlin.de |
